The NASCAR boys head off to Richmond, where fenders get rubbed and tempers always seem to flare.

ARCA returns after a month and a 1/2 rest with a trip to Salem Speedway. Also, Dega in two weeks. WOOOOOOOOOOO!

Sprint Cup Entry List (43 cars)
Nationwide Entry List (46 cars)

Denny didn't do such a good job of getting mentally refreshed and focused during his time off, did he?

Denny won't be back this week, according to his Twitter. :(

What's a real shame is that the K&N race isn't being televised. Last years race was one of the best races I have ever seen, on any track.

The K&N race is being televised (albeit tape-delayed by a week or so) but the Denny Hamlin Showdown isn't being shown at all. :(

You can only listen to it on MRN.

The only K&N race I've seen all year is the one I saw in person at Bristol. When do they show them now?

Who knows and I have a funny feeling Fox Sports 1 won't show very many.

Not today. Not last week either.

if Hamlin wants to return at Talladega it couldn't be a more stupid decision

Meh, Talladega is actually one of the least physically demanding tracks on a driver, it's more mentally demanding. Not a bad place for an injured driver to return IMO.

If Hamlin returns at Talladega he will probably just start the race and hand it over to a relief driver, he can ride at the back until the first caution and won't really be putting himself at much risk, iirc this is what Hamlin said the plan was in one of his interviews.

Regarding the K&N races, I suspect that Speed is not bothering to go through the expense of sending cameras to the stand alone races like they have in the past, so the only races you'll see televised will probably be the ones that are run with the Cup or Truck series.

Well duh, you can get injured there if you crash like you can anywhere. But the physical effort to make laps through a full distance race is less than most tracks.

True. But then again, nothing's assured in the realm of motorsport. If I were Denny, I'd still sit out another race or two (but not to Derrick Rose's level).

Waterford Speedbowl graduate Dave Garbo Jr finished sixth tonight in the Denny Hamlin Memorial Late Model Race. Neat.
