So nice to see Valentino back in podium. Great result for Marquez too, Pedrosa has something to think about. Not a bad race for Crutchlow.

Ermm what? That's pretty offensive to Pedrosa, who is far more likely to be World Champion in the top flight of his sport than Coulthard ever was.

He is quick. But it just looks like the he's is always going to be a second driver (Nicky Hayden (first year), Stoner and now Marquez). Maybe a little too early to comment this season, but Marquez looks bloody quick.

Except last year when he suddenly had an increase in form after Stoner was injured, he never had blistering seasons. But yeah Coulthard is maybe a little too extreme, but was more a metaphor.

Pedrosa is better than his seasons in MotoGP show. He's easily a world champion in waiting but everytime he's on cusp of greatness something happens, like an injury. The season is long and yesterday he didn't need to get stuck in to battle with Marquez. Pedrosa knows how easily MotoGP can bite to fearless rookies.

The Japanese have been so unfortunate with losing 2 of their biggest talents in the last decade. RIP Kato.

A starter motor caught fire, causing damage to some Tech 3 equipment.

10 years... I remember it very well. Really loved him as a rider, his 2001 season in 250cc was amazing.

Yeah Marquez is just on his own in Texas. Let's hope he doesn't overdo it and end up with a nasty fall as a consequence... ala Lorenzo throughout 2008.

Gotta say, the new arrangement of the MotoGP theme(the one played when they show the final practice standings) is pretty cool

WHat a lap from Marquez, a bit of a slide while being distracted by a Ducati but he nailed the pole position.

He would have broken into the 2.02s barrier.
