Wasn't there a rather entertaining race there in 2009 or 2010 or so? I remember an uneventful race in terms of cautions, but they were running high, low, 3-and-4-wide late in the going. It didn't necessarily make up for the rest of the race, but at least it has the potential... this is the fastest the new car will have gone so far, so I'm hopeful we'll see a good race.

That's the one mclaren2008 was talking about I think, from 2011. They went five-wide for cash and prizes coming off Turn 4.

Well, 2011 had the exciting finish between Harvick, Johnson and Kyle Busch, and it was kinda cloudy... the one I'm thinking of, it was bright and sunny - I believe it was the final year of the second race, Hamlin wrecked himself into the very end of the pit wall, there was a big pileup at the end of the race that Kahne was none too happy about, as well as some crazy racing near the end.

I'm thinking it was 2010! I could easily Racing-Reference them shits up, I suppose...

2009. I think that's the one I'm remembering. Denny wreckin' usually means an automatic 10/10 race, IMO.

Maybe the King Kong spoiler combined with the 210+ mph speeds at the end of the long straights will keep them bunched up for longer.

I think that could be a combination that might result in more drafting on the straightaways. If that happens, there might be more battles for positions involving more than 2 cars.
