I think Bianchi could be the next Ferrari big name, after Alonso, but he may need a year or two in a smaller team before Alonso retires. So around 2016 i expect him to be there, maybe even earlier,if Massa does something unpredictable.

Here's a fun statistic:

Massa has never won a race since Alonso moved to Ferrari.

if massa doesn't win tomorrow, he will have the record for Ferrari driver going the most races without a win (at least that is what my commentators say).

Yeah, he's tied with Jean Alesi right now with 67 starts without a win. Michele Alboreto isn't far behind with 55 starts without a win as a Ferrari driver.

All is not well in that relationship.

Well maybe they should stop fucking up basic strategy. They knew rain was coming. They didn't bank a lap. If that's the teams fault then Paul shaking his head is the least of the issues.

Every team lost the radar images so they didn't know.

Re-watching the BBC coverage it looks like Paul abandoned his first lap after a mistake at T9.

Everyone can look at the sky and notice the dark clouds. So many teams have made mistakes, misjudging the weather. Just go outside as soon as possible, simple as that, no excuses.

Well he'd pretty much won Hockenhiem 2010, hence the controversy.

Oooh a shake of the head? What terrible driver behaviour worth commenting on over the radio, so everyone can hear.
Plz ban and fire him immediately!

Still, odd they felt the need to say that publicly instead of behind closed doors.

Have they changed some tech stuff this year? I heard the cockpit flag lights aren't working - same as Australia - seems surprising these things which worked fine last year suddenly fail...

No he didn't. That's like saying Barrichello had pretty much won Austria 2002.

Barrichello gave up a position in which he was several seconds in front of Schumacher. Massa gave up a spot while they where duelling.

Barrichello would have won on his own without the teamorder. In Hockenheim Alonso still had the chance to get to spot on own merit, but he wasn't man enough for that.

Or when Mika Salo pretty much won the Hockenheim 1999. That's almost 15 years that Ferrari has been doing shitty job with team orders, only Flavio's Renault nearing this performance very briefly.

That is not the case in the slightest (about Barrichello). Schumi was crusing and knew he would be able to win, it wasn't the race you think it was.

As for Massa, he was quickest in the opening section but later in the race Alonso was the quicker. It was always going to be an Alonso win. It was sensible and logical for the championship. That's it.

I hate it how people seem to believe both Massa and Rubens were robbed. That's laughable.

They were ahead, which is all that matters. Alonso if you think you're faster OVERTAKE HIM

/Canada 2005.

Kind reminder that the only reason Alonso was faster at Hockenheim was because they turned the engine power up. Felipe was simply better than him that day.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

"What do I need to do to overtake him?"

"Well, you can whine in your radio and we tell him to take his foot off the throttle."

All in all, it's not very clever thing to do for a team to put your number 2 in front of your number 1 if you want to get away of the position swap smoothly.

Maybe so, plus there have a few other races where Massa has been better and stronger than Alonso and the team have controlled Massa's destiny (Korea 2012, Australia 2013 for instance). If he was in the title fight I'd have agreed about Germany 2010. But he wasn't.

Ferrari did exactly the same thing at Hockenheim as they did in Korea and Austin.

Regardless, here is to Felipe giving Alonso many more headaches this season. The qualifying stats have to be getting in his head, now Felipe just needs to drive so that the team couldn't fuck him on strategy even if they wanted to (and I don't think they did in Australia).
