It's the first short track weekend of the 2013 season, as the Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series are joined by the K&N Pro Series East on the high-banks of Bristol Motor Speedway.

Sprint Cup Entry List (44 entries)
Nationwide Entry List (43 entries)
K&N Pro Series East Entry List (43 entries)

First time for the G6 at a true short track. After the changes last season resulted in a return to typical Bristol I think this year will be much of the same. Boys Have at It.

Rain expected for the race, crowd will be down :(

Christ, I'd forgotten about him.

How did he end up in K&N?

Did you not watch last summer's race?

It's fixed!

Sort of.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

After winning WSBR in 2006, his career stalled after testing F1 and Champcar. After racing various Porsche Carrera Cup's, just to have something to do, he started up an STCC team with Seat's, which sucked. Then last year, he finally got some good equipment under him and raced very well in TTA. Didn't win a race though. But the bullshit surrounding Swedish racing at the moment made him look elsewhere for opportunities and got the idea of starting a NASCAR career. So he got cuddly with Derrick Cope (of all people) and supposedly impressed him in a few testing sessions this winter (on both road courses and ovals), and here he is.

It does. Especially as Swedish TV had bought the rights for this race only, haha.

Is what I've heard. Don't know the source.

Go Kez Go!

How do the cars look in practice? Doing any racing or mostly qualifying stuff?

Eh, usual practice stuff. I was surprised to see everyone running the bottom though.

Kyle Busch went into a corner below Gilliland, slid up and made slight contact before spinning to the apron. And Keselowski actually slid up into the wall right at the beginning of the session.

BIG wreck in Nationwide practice. The 70 (Brad Teague) spun off T2, and the 52 (Joey Gase) nudged him and slid to a stop. Harvick squeezed between the 52 and the wall (slight contact) but the big hit was when Brad Sweet came in late and just plain drilled the left rear of the 52, which got way up in the air on contact. 8O

Everyone's fine though.
