Weren't they originally going to run around the Brandenburg Gate and they had to move it?

afaik that was the first plan but our senate department didn't allow it so they moved to tempelhof and that part of the airport is the only part they can use.

Can't come soon enough as there one of my biggest complaints with the series right now because the car changes not only kill the flow of the race but also make things ridiculously confusing at times. I also feel that its an area of the races which the TV director has yet to find a good way of covering well.

Been perfectly honest I think that given the limitations of the current technology it may have been better to have 2 shorter races rather than the single longer race which requires the car swap.

I actually like the elements of Formula E that set it apart from other championships.

Yeah on paper the car swap sounds clunky but I've been enjoyed the strategy of it as a race unfolds.

But I do realise for the future of the championship it has to go away so the development life of the batteries can be seen to be progressing for the all important PR

How is it ridiculously confusing? All that happens is, that instead of changing tyres & refuelling, they change the entire car, a car that looks identical to the one that came into the pits. It's no more or less confusing than a regular pit stop in any other sort of racing.

Or course, they'll eventually get rid of that feature due to advances in technology, but the current situation is just a product of the shortcomings of electric vehicles in the present.

Until we get hot-swappable batteries that can be done quickly and in a safe manner or rapid-chargers, we have to deal with mid-race car changes.

I just seem to find them far more confusing than a more normal tyre/fuel stop & through the pit stops cycle I find myself often not having a clue who's racing who, where everyone is or how they got there.
Its not an issue I have with any other series, I'm able to follow the race & have a good idea of who's racing who through the stops & have a good idea of where everyone will come out, For whatever reason I've found myself unable to do the same with Formula E & am often left scratching my head after the pit stops trying to figure out why everyone is where they are & how they got there.

I think maybe its because there so much longer than normal & that the performance differences between full battery/low battery seems to be so big which jumbles the order up much more than a regular pit stop & the fact that as I said I don't feel the TV director has covered them all that well so far.

This technology already exists, and is in use for several makes. I think the main problem here is the accessibility of the batteries under a flat-bottomed car, and the fact that the swapping equipment itself is still quite cumbersome.

Following his drug test failure, Montagny's been banned until December 2016.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Vergne has shortened his weekend considerably.

I guess the race is going to be awesome with the gaps in qualifying.

Vergne 1st after the 1st part of qualifying.
