They are certain situations where I think it's true. I certainly wish that the final holes of Winged Foot 2006 had slightly less drama and I would have preferred if the 2008 title had changed hands on the final corner.

Saying that I think there is a lot of anal and pettypeople, especially on the internet when it comes to all sport. Slam wins that should have asterixes alongside them, reams and reams of statistics trying to convince me that such and such a driver was actually better than another driver, with minutae poured over to a ridiculous level or that their team should have won as every decision the referee made against them was wrong. It sometimes makes me wonder how they can enjoy sport if they seem to be so consistently looking to pick it apart.

Agree with the above. Some people are just like that. Even after they (or their team) crushes opponents, they will feel immense joy and keep taunting and boasting about it.

When an easy victory happens to me in any race, game or competition, I feel more embarrassed than anything else. I much,much prefer hard-to-earn victories aquired at the last moment, or even losing after a good fight, because the fight/effort is the finality, not the win.

To be honest I like all of the guys at the front; they're all proper racers and they're all extremely talented. It's better when the wins are split across drivers rather than something like 2011 when Vettel won 11 of them. What I don't like is when someone loses a result through reliability. I mean, I know it happens to everyone but I when something like what happened to Vettel in Valencia last year, I always feel sorry for them because I think it's not just the driver, it's all of the team as well that have lost that result.

Right, this happens every year during this week. I'm expecting the following over the next day or two:

2. Photo of the cars/parts arriving and being unwrapped/unpacked from crates etc.
3. Photo of a driver arriving with unintentionally comical oversized sunglasses.

I am admirative that Melbourne is slipping through the net and hasn't been butchered since the first venue in 1996.

It's actually the only track that hasn't changed the slightest bit since then. Even Montreal, even Monaco were tarmac'ed like no tomorrow considering how little space there was there to begin with.

Yes. The only changes where to the kerbs that have that fake grass to help the drivers, it's something I find very wrong cause you take away the challenge to use the kerb at the limit and not over it, but it's acceptable. I think the only "major" change to Melbourne was to the last corner, to avoid spins and crashes there, but those changes are very small compared to what was done to other tracks, not only about the tarmac, you mentioned Monaco, the coming to La Rascasse was changed and made much easier since 2003.
