to say the racing was "like it was in the 90's" is bs. dale sr could go from 30th to 1st in 5 laps back in those races, but were trying to legitimize the finish on sunday by pointing out that jr picked up 3 spots or something on the last lap? please.

the 2 car tandems quote was more of a reactionary comment to the lame finish. 2 car tandems did at least allow drivers to try something rather than just sit around single file. however, a more sober response was posted at the top of this page with my agreement on what jr was saying, in the espn article, about reducing the amount of spoiler on the cars.

which commercial was it where all the drivers started the ad as fighter jets, then turned into their cars from a free-fall?

I'm pretty sure that was the ad for the Phoenix race next weekend.
