Spectator safety is more important.

Remember Villenueve at Japan in '96 when he lost the wheel? Cleared the first fence but not a second fence.

The problem with catchfencing is the fact it can tear cars apart. But what alternative is there?

Since the biggest injuries may have been from the wheel that landed several rows back I'm not sure moving the stands back is the solution. Maybe a plexiglass ceiling/box surrounding seats behind the existing catch fence?

Must have been an unsettling view in Stewart's mirror as he coasted into T1. One smoking car trailing him and just a big cloud of madness settled back in the trioval. He was the only undamaged car in that lead pack. Insanity...

Wendy V just said five of the eleven at Halifax were treated for non-trauma-related injuries. Does that mean panic/shock/etc.?

Sorry, didn't hear about the other hospital, just what Wendy said about 11 people at Halifax, and was pretty sure she said that those 11 are all now in a stable condition.
