If it makes sense, then you can guarantee F1 won't be interested.

In other words, JV is basically saying: Alonso is gonna spank, trash, kick Kimi's ass

I'm sure Tobias, NVirkulla, JJ..... completely agrees with this :D

Absolutely. This is why Jacques is much more respected amongst F1 fans than his father ever was. Jacques knows everything that needs to be know about anything and he's not afraid to tell this to the World that clearly has no clue how things really are.

Fuck you haters, Max Chilton is in the same league as Hawthorn, Fangio, Hill, Clark, Schumacher and Raikkonen.

It's something for the mechanics to be proud of, but not Chilton.

C'mon, I get the Chilton bashing but at least be man enough to admit that this also rest a bit on his shoulders. None of us would most likely to be able to do that. We'd wreck it at least once. Well except maybe Truls1

Yes Chilton must be very proud for completing every race by finishing last, at least 2 laps down by lapping 5 seconds+ slower than the leaders after starting almost every race from last on the grid.

A bit of perspective is needed here.

It's a bit like celebrating how reliable the engines became after putting strict development caps and a rev limit on them. They were less powerful and probably slower overall, but WOO YEAH.

Bianchi also made zero race ending errors in 2013, just that he had the car that went wrong and was used as a target by Giedo.

I do think it's something you can be happy about but celebrating it like this seems exaggerated.

Of course it requires skill and craftsmanship, if you can call it that, but a lot of luck is included as well (like the examples from Phil).

5th season since 1966 that a McLaren didn't score a podium: 1966, 1967, 1979 and 1980. 1971 is arguable, TEAM McLaren didn't score a podium, but A McLaren did, Team Penske's car with Mark Donohue in Canada.

Cool story, right, bro's?

If 2006 with no victories was a tangible failure for Mclaren, then what is the right term for the 2013 results?

Hakkinen was 2nd in both Monza and Suzuka.

McLaren made one amazing record this year, they were incredibly reliable.

McLaren driver's Perez and Button drove 99,17% of the full race distance this season, 11 488 kilometers out of 11 584 kms that was possible to cover. Previous record was made by BMW-Sauber in 2008 (98,30%).

It's always ups and downs with McLaren performance and reliability, once they get their car reliable, it's dead slow and vica versa.

I won't remember much of this season within 20 years.

except maybe for some cool things that happened the last couple of races: Webber getting taxied by Alonso was a cool shot. Seb's doughnuts and the way he parked on the straight after he became world champion, and Webber driving the RB without helmet.
