Can the 1995 Sauber be the new Red Bull?

One thing is for sure, he has the cutest best looking girlfriend of all the drivers, IMO.

one of the very few photos of her

ok, let me dig subjects a bit. I agree with Scotty that Sutil's is by far the prettiest of any driver's girlfriends/wives. Alonso's russian girlfriend Dasha Kapustina and DiResta's Laura Jordan also deserves a mention

, yes, these women don't have a job. They make a living out of dating with rich/famous people, getting publicity with it and getting some "model gigs" here and there.

Sutil's girlfriend specifically, albeit very beautiful imo, is always smiling to the camera whenever she's shown. You never see her unconfortable with it, she's exactly there for those moments of exposure.

Stef, did you read that from someone on the internet or do you have a link to it, please? Cause I would like to know more details of it, even if Pirelli is already secured as tyre supplier for next year.

@arthur
It annoys me that the camerman shows them more over weekend than Marrussia or Caterham on track. I dont care wich one is the prettiest etc...
But i mean these ladies should get a job, i mean do something! Everybody has a job or trying to get a job, everybody hast to make something for a living. Do it like Vettel does. When he and the team win the championship, then bring all your friends and gf to the track, because its over they won everything so it doesnt matter if you screw up. Im trying to say that you cant focus on the job.

Some of those guy's designs are awesome. My favorites are the 75,79 Brabham's 79,99 Arrows and the 90 Ferrari. But I love that 79 Brabham.

The 1970s Brabham designs have got to be one of the coolest of all time, agreed. Very slick with the Martini branding particularly in the red livery. It confuses my senses to see it in a modern car, but still looks awesome.

The backsurgery ends up Kimi’s season
F1 | Turun Sanomat 09:34
The Formula One season of Kimi Raikkonen is over!

The Finnish star of Lotus F1 Team – keeping third position in the drivers’ championship with 183 points – will go through a backsurgery on next Thursday, and because of that cannot race in the two last Grands Prix of USA and Brazil.

Raikkonen has had problems with his back for a long time. During the practise in Singapore in September the pain got so bad, that Kimi would not have been able to participate the qualifying and the race without a cortisone injection.

Now after the race in Abu Dhabi a week ago Kimi’s back has been even worse. He has not been able to sleep properly without painkillers.

– The experts were recommending the surgery, and it will be done next Thursday in Salzburg, Steve Robertson, the manager of Raikkonen, breaks the news to Turun Sanomat.

After the operation Kimi is cannot do anything for four weeks. This means the current season stops here.

– Obviously, it is a disappointing way to end the relationship with Lotus after two successful seasons on Kimi's return to F1. However, Kimi cannot afford to delay anymore. It is crucial to correct the problem now to start 2014 fit and healthy, Robertson points out.

Most likely the car number 7 will be driven in Austin by Davide Valsecchi, the Lotus test and reserve driver. Valsecchi has tested the E21 car for two days in Barcelona and Silverstone. If Valsecchi gets the drive, he will be the first Italian to race in a Grand Prix since Jarno Trulli in 2011.

Well, better to have the surgery now than just before winter tests. Hopefully it will fix Kimi's back permanently, but I know that often back problems will never totally go away.

That's a shame and I hope he gets better.

Would be cool if Valsecchi gets a shot though.

Too bad but definitely correct decision to do it now rather than wait.

Am I being cynical or does this seem very convenient?

He likely chose to do the operation now so it harmed Lotus and not the preparations with Ferrari.
Now it could become interesting to see who gets his seat. I wouldn't feel safe with Valsecchi if I was Lotus...

I am with you Kals. I think yes, he will have the surgery, but if his relationship with the team/management was better than no, he wouldn't have had the surgery at this point in time, would have been after the season.

Get Valsecchi in the seat, IMO

Glad Kimi is getting himself sorted

Hulk is available (he has no contract with Sauber), but it would be very nice to see Valsecchi get a bit of a run, just to see what he can do.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Reminds me of when Montoya had an accident playing tennis and/or riding a motorcycle and then we never saw him again. :)

I hope Valsecchi gets his chance.
