Lol, Massa is "leaving" Ferrari.

At least they've been kind enough to let him PR it as if it was his decision. Hope the Lotus drive isn't wasted on him over the Hulk.

Its not funny that a loyal driver has lost his ride with Ferrari.
Massa had a good run i applaud him. :flag:
He showed real class in brazil when he lost in the interviews after the race and he is still pretty quick in the end, just not consistant enough.
:beard: Getting old is a bitch.

Only Michael Schumacher has drove more races for the Ferrari, so Massa's been there quite some time. And if you compare the achievements of Schumi and Massa, it's quite obvious that he needs to go.

1:00 PM should be the time when Ferrari starts their press conference in Frankfurt, just like yesterday.

Not bad for a small media to make the first article about this, weeks before anyone else.

I'd never have guessed Massa had the same Ferrari win tally as Alonso ... apart from 2011 though, it shows how far we've come from one or two drivers winning 6-8 races a season (and another two drivers winning 1 or 2 each) that we had for a long time (except when Schumacher destroyed the field as well). We've generally had drivers from Red Bull, McLaren and Ferrari winning 3-4 races since Pirelli came along. Vettel could end this year with 10+ though.

I feel for Lotus. Gave Kimi a really good time, possibly his best.

Fantastic! :) Strongest team lineup of the grid next year. I was never able to see Prost & Senna era, but this comes close.

now the question is: "will alonso remain in ferrari?" it's since the time of Prost Mansell that you dont see two strong drivers together in ferrari and that has never been their politic, so what do we have to expect? Will Alonso leave?

Well the press release mentions Alonso, so you'd guess yes.

My feeling is that Alonso will have the measure of Raikkonen, but that the Finn will be able to take far more points than Massa.

I told a pair of Kimi fans on the plane home that the deal was going to be announced on Wednesday - Kals, I'm not always wrong! Throw enough shit eh?

yes, but at the end of the year, Vettel, who debuted 6 years later, will have one more championship than both of them together :D

You're not always wrong. You got Wednesday right, but it's Kimi, who is going to beat Alonso. ;)

According to SuomiF1.com reporter Pekka Franck (who made the headlines about this deal on 1st of August), Kimi's deal is 2 years, with an option for the third year if Kimi wants to use it. So expect Kimi to continue in 2015 and Alonso to leave at the end of that year, Kimi continuing his final year in F1 2016 with Vettel.

Mark my words. ;)
