That's not actually Maldonado that comes flying into the accident, IIRC. Cecotto should definitely be banned for a race. He got away with it in Sepang, and now it's not even a penalty for shoving someone off the track on a straight? Meanwhile F1 dishes out penalties for every little misjudgment and racing incident. Astonishing really.

As for the tire discussion, why is it assumed that one stop = dull and processional? Pirelli/The FIA have the power to make the tires exactly how they want. It's possible to make them more durable, yet still offering low grip. I want to see cars sliding and wheels spinning, drivers on the edge, without destroying the tires in one lap.

Not sure why all the articles are focusing on Red Bull. Did they not see Mercedes?
