Yep, no step.

Still, looks quite an ugly car from what that resolution allows to be seen

MERCEDES AMG F1 ‏@MercedesAMGF1
Keep retweeting #F1W04Reveal and the car will be unveiled progressively between now and Monday

To quote a guy from atlas:
Quote:
This is an absolute farce. They have no intention of showing the car off, despite putting all their fans through the ringer for the last 4 hours. All of this now just feels like a cheap publicity stunt...

This team have become the only one I'll be rooting against. Complete fucking idiots trolled/fooled many people with this farce :yuk:

Hating a team because their launch didn't go as planned. Well, it's something...

you didn't get it.

It's not about the technical problem. They never planned to fully reveal it before monday, in the first place. They deceived people, made they expect something which would never happen anyway.

Don't know how you couldn't get that from their tweet. The guy from atlas summed it up perfectly.

"Brainpain" not getting something doesn't surprise me though.

PS: I'm glad I only waited first half hour or so because it seems lot of people spent over 4 hours believing they would see it today before they reveal what it really was all about.

Well, with all the people they've pissed off they've ensured there'll be more than enough bandwidth to go around for the actual launch.

Mission accomplished?

I get it, and I found it funny. The fact that they managed to piss you off this much just makes me enjoy their little stunt even more.

I don't know how you get so much from their tweet. Djeez. And I don't even like Mercedes either. But to go around saying that they had actually planned this thus rather waste their time with 'deceiving people'?

Tell me one valid reason why they would do it this way. Bad publicity = good publicity doesn't work in this case, as they pissed off everyone who wanted to see it + they hardly attracted new supporters. It's not as if their sponsors got extra screentime and/or mentions + it's kind of embarassing towards the sponsors who are involved. Hell, their complete site is still offline, so I can't see anyone inside the Mercedes headquarters going "good job people".

Their current thing to retweet until Monday is just a way to try and save a completely failed situation, as any brand would try to do. If it's a good method, I don't know, but apparently you and others are not happy about it, so I'm afraid not.

I still don't see what's so exciting about car launches. It's hardly an "I was there" moment.

Yeah but knowing his track record, I'm sure he didn't mean to hit anything and just misjudged the gap.

It'll be the first gap he's dived into which has resulted in a happy ending...

He had the hole closed on him and after a thorough pounding he lost a lot of essential fluid and had to retire.
