I was curious as to who TBK's driver of the year was based on the results of the individual races. Using the 1991-2002 system, we unfortunately don't have a final round showdown as we have Alonso the winner. But we do have a 4-way final round shoot-out for 2nd involving Raikkonen, Hamilton, Vettel and, eh, Massa.

ALONSO 66
RAIKKONEN 51
VETTEL 43
HAMILTON 43
MASSA 42

HULKENBERG 14
ROSBERG 10 (all from China)

'Greatest winners' meaning those who have won more than once.

Schumacher tended to get at least 1 or 2 votes per race, in races where not many people got votes, like Spain, this was very helpful.

Friday (33C) and Saturday (31C) look hot but Sunday (21C) is looking much cooler, according to wunderground which isn't the most accurate but a trend is there.

Funny how Belgian commentators profiled Alonso for the favourite for the title after the race in Austin, saying Ferrari is always very strong at Interlagos, completely overlooking the fact Red Bull has won here for the past 3 years. Doornbos wanted Alonso to win the title while the other commentator said he wanted to stay objective...

It's the first time that Vettel is in the position of losing a championship and Alonso will seize every media-opportunity to put more pressure on Seb.

Vettel has to look out for only one guy, Hamilton can fly off into the distance for all he's concerned, all he has to do is keep an eye on Nando, he can even stay behind the Ferrari and follow him for 71 laps, he'd still be champion.

I'm gonna let Alonso continue his raindance and let him pray for Seb's alternator to fail, because on pure pace he's screwed...

Just finish in the top 4, Seb, stay on defense mode and you'll be fine.

And at the end of the day Alonso will regret he didn't pass a certain Venezuelan chap in a Williams back in Barcelona... ;)

Advantages Vettel has:

Car is faster and he's on form.
He's known to be very good in the wet
Obvious points advantage
McLaren could steal points from Alonso very easily

Advantages Alonso has:

Red Bull reliability is questionable.
Massa is extremely on form and willing to help, and runs well at Interlagos.

Should Red Bull reliability be an issue, then Alonso has by far the biggest advantage. But that's a massive IF. Because if it isn't, then it's up to Vettel to lose this one.

There's a promising chance for a wet race, which would be just the 2nd of the season (and in Malaysia they waited till the track dried up).
Let's hope the rain won't be torrential. It would be a huge anticlimax if the race was red flagged after a couple of laps behind SC, then they waited for 4 hours after which only half-points would be shared. Mixed conditions is ideal.
Wonder if the new tarmac at T1 will have any difference.

Vettel is favourite, but strange things happened in 2007,2008 and 2010 in the final race. So, I have a feeling it will be a great race again.

Alonso will take it. Even if it means Massa has to crash into vettel. They're too desperate to win it and that's exactly what they'll do. There's also divine intervention involved, which has helped Alonso and Ferrari more than anyone else in recent times :)

This time of the year, Sao Paulo has rain almost every day in the afternoon, it's a matter of when and how much the rain will hit the track, but there's a cold mass of air coming this weekend, so the conditions might change from thos quick and heavy showers to a light rain that stays the whole day, it's too early to predict, but it's almost sure that the rain will come at some point of the weekend.
