What's the story about Vettel passing under yellow? Saw some rumours on twitter.

Btw, I'm surprised there was no investigation for the Kobayashi/Webber incident.

He passed Kobya in the final corner in what looked like there was a yellow flag board, which the race director looked at for a period of time, but it turned out the yellow on the wasn't a yellow flag.

don't know if it's like nostalgia but I still believe that Spa 98 and Interlagos 2003 are unbeatable because I use several factors to rate my favourite ones

If Hulkenberg had won today, then it could seriously be one of the best races ever

Officially, the yellow was being shown with the red/yellow stripped low grip flag. And there was an oddly placed green light just before the final corner, which makes even less sense.

Seems to be they messed up where the low grip flags should be. The circuit wasn't neutralised and there was no reason for a yellow to be there.

Webber finishes 102 points behind Vettel. And of course, the car is the reason that Vettel won the 3rd title. Not because he's one of the best in the business. Nope, all to do with the car.

Great race, great season, deserving champion. And I wanted Alonso to win it.

Kovalainen did after his 5th pitstop. Boy, oh boy, did the Caterham got their strategy spot on with Kovalainen today.

Moment of the year!

Thanks TBK for the eventful season, wouldn't be as funny and amazing without you all. I hope next year we get a better ending for me :p

Hope someone capped Sky Sports version, as Brundle's comments made me laugh

If those flashing lights, which McNish was referring to on Sky, where indeed yellow light and not yellow/red, then how could there even be a discussion whether that pass was legal. The whole pit straight was neutralized although.

Does the rulebook offer the stewards room for personal judgement when to punish yellow flag infringements?

It does not.

But I don't understand what was neutral and what wasn't. There was a red and yellow flag 3 corners from the end, with a yellow displayed above it. Then there was a green in the last corner (wtf?) then what looks to be a yellow (some have said the light box was showing red/yellow, we just can't see it on the TV glare), but the yellow was indicating surface conditions, not neutralised sections. Pat Fry from Ferrari agreed.

Webber was never considered a good driver. He got lot of problems too (with Kers) while Seb's car always seemed to work fine. A bit like Sebastien Loeb and Dani Sordo. A bit like Schumacher and Rosberg if you ask me. One car getting most of the problems.

Well if someone from Ferrari already agreed at least we won't have endless protest and counterprotest.

But for my personal understanding. I would assume that for surface condition you show yellow/read and not yellow. So what Pat Fry says does not make much sense to me. Can you show yellow to highlight danger e.g. tricky surface condition but overtaking still is allowed?

watching F1 since Austria 1986, and I have never seen something like that! Together with Australia 1986 this is for me the greatest race ever when it comes to excitement!

What a race.

Thank you to Alonso for making the championship battle exciting until the last few laps of the season.

Thank you Sao Paulo for another crazy and amazing race.

Loved F1 again this evening.
