Article 6.6.2 in full: "Competitors must ensure that a one litre sample of fuel may be taken from the car at any time
during the Event.
Except in cases of force majeure (accepted as such by the stewards of the meeting), if a
sample of fuel is required after a practice session the car concerned must have first been
driven back to the pits under its own power."

The FIA regulations seem to acknowledge the possibility of force majeure, but only for practice sessions?

The Vettel defenders are properly having a best-defence-is-offence moment .

Vettel can pass. Vettel just has a habit of not doing pressurised racing that well, probably because, in fairness, he ain't used to it.

He can pass people, but he can't race them. Big difference.

I would not be surprised if at some point in the Following years someone would be able to prove that these events were all staged just to make F1 more exciting and always decide the championship in the last couple of races so spectators wont loose interest in it. Something similar to what is happening to Armstrong in Cycling just to make it clear.

He'll still likely get hit by Maldonado in to T1.

You've just watched the latest South Park, right?

But seriously, you might be on to something with this thought. Maybe F1 has gone down to a path where they want to give a great show for one hour rather than really being a pioneer for technology for motored transportation. Sometimes I get a feeling that the pioneering side of the sports has been gone and it's just all about of the smallest details in engineering, like double diffuser or flexi-wing.

I read the article and the end was really surprising. He quoted Matti Nykänen! 8O

Quote:
“One of the best ski jumpers of all times once said ‘Every chance is an opportunity and as far as we are concerned there are still plenty of chances tomorrow”, Vettel said.

GO SEB! :flag:

Okay, I guess I'll be watching this race then since the fact the grid has changed the way it has already makes the race more interesting.

Alonso will win because Maldonado will take out everyone around him. :p

That "Vettel can't pass" thing is all because he never won from lower than 3rd. Wasn't it? I think that someone mentioned this this year.

That is very good for the championship, because Ferrari isn't the best car, is it?
So, I am happy. I hope, I am not a fanboy now? ;)

And this is exactly why you don't declare a championship over with 4 races to go! Shit just got interesting. :D

I actually never said that he can't pass, but I think that this might be the reason ;)

Yes, with the second part you are right and hell yeah, I love that you are right! 8)

Yes. But you know the Renault engine isn't the fast engine on the track, so it was difficult to pass with these engines in the past without DRS.

Bytheway, Even Hamilton never won lower than 2nd row.

But looking at the past, Vettel have still a chance of scoring some points. He has done that before when he was low on the grid.

I'm looking forward to seeing Vettel come through the field, I can't remember too many occasions when it's happened
