If F1 wonders sometimes why more people don't watch, it could look into the fact that on new tracks, there is no sense of speed from a lot of TV angles used...

I thought that was the point of TBK?

Watching drivers get so many get out of jail free cards is a bother too. Plus using awful colours on the tarmac runoffs too.

Can't see the adverts if the cars are going too fast.

---------------

Normal service looks like it has been resumed but the Ferrari could be even slower than the Lotus, which would fist Alonso's title chances to death.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Yes, I know the reason why the camera angles are chosen. They might as well just write 'Fuck off Europe' in the lights on the hotel.

Lotus looks decent. But I don't think they will trouble the top step.

I know it'll sound redundant, even because it's already the fourth Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, but the track is so boring, so boring that it manages to have nearly 0% of bumps. Telling this because that onboard shot on Webber's car showing the front suspension braces during a lap, it simply didn't move the whole lap...I wonder how can someone have courage to make a track like that, it's the height of boredom.

You have to hate racing so much to design a track like that.

Hah!

That's just bitching about DRS and the fact there are better battles on track that the director aren't showing on TV isn't it?

One thing that annoys me about this track (and a few others that do it) Is the dual grid they have going on.
I realise its petty but to my mind there should only be one pitlane, grid markings, lights etc so to have it doubling up just confuses my brain about where they are on track....

Spa also has a dual pitlane, that doesn't confuse you.

It's not petty, it's silly. Why wouldn't they have it? It allows them to run 2 events at the same time. Brilliant for open days and experience driving stuff, which is important to a circuit like this.

Bahrain has similar system hasn't it? External track (by-passes from turn 4 to turn 13, basically uses most of 2010-spec circuit) and then internal circuit which cuts from turn 12 to turn 5. Goes through turn where Chandhok crashed in 2010 IIRC.
