NASCAR now moves from the short track in Martinsville to the fast and tricky, with not many yellows, Texas Motor Speedway for a crucial race in the Chase. Brad and Jimmie are 2 points apart in the championship with 3 to go, with Brad holding one more win.

The race here earlier this year saw only 2 yellows and a 230 lap+ green flag stretch, a record for both the track and the COT (and probably the Brian France era). Its likely that long green runs will be the norm again, so fuel mileage and track position will once again be critical.

NNS and Trucks are also racing this week, marking the first of 3 consecutive weekends with all 3 series' running. Its exactly one year since Kyle Busch's epic brain fade, its not likely to happen again but who knows.

Phoenix next weekend!

I am looking forward to the truck race here, though.

Or perhaps the 2010 chase (but without JJ).

Not only a year since Kyle Busch's epic brain fade, but two years since Kyle Busch's other brain fade by flipping off an official on camera... and the "fight" between Gordon and Burton.

After what happened at Kansas, Nascar didn't approve Nur Ali to race at Texas. He'll be back at Phoenix. Carl Long will park a Rick Ware entry in his place this weekend.

I have a feeling that Ryan Sieg has a new truck. Blue in the scheme now instead of red. Any idea what blue trucks he could have gotten? Anyways he's fast. Up to 14th.

Sauter wins. Dull race aside from a couple restarts.
