Maybe BB rumours are to distract attention....

It reminds me of the tendering process for the chasis. Yeah, nice designs from Lola, Deltawing etc, but bottom line we all knew it was going to be Dallara before they even announced the new chasis.

They might as well just announce Tony George know and be done with it....

Have they announced the next Lights engine / chassis combo yet?

Sebastien Saavedra will be replacing Katherine Legge in at Dragon Racing, with TrueCar curiously staying on board. Katherine obviously wasn't expecting this, judging by her reaction on Twitter. I know she didn't do great, but she showed good improvement when they finally got decent engines, and she was a good representative for the TruCar womens racing initiative or whatever.

Been talking a lot about it on Twitter, apparently Legge wasn't the only TrueCar casualty for the upcoming season.

Saavedra's a weird choice if they are looking for a better driver.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Legge has had enough chances already, and she hasn't used any of them.

Katherine was doing very well at Fontana in my opinion.

So by that logic Sato should be long gone then...

In fairness Katherine did show potential in Atlantics back in 2005 but I always felt she was moved upto Champcar before she was really ready & that did nothing but harm her.
As a result in 2006 she showed occasional speed but made mistakes & had a generally inconsistent season. The move to Coyne in 2007 was poor & not helped by the fact that the team didn't really have the funding to run 2 cars & her years in DTM did nothing for her.

I don't think she ran too badly last year when you consider the mess the team found themselfs in thanks to Lotus & her lack of experience on ovals as well as a lack of seat time in general. Give her a full season with plenty of seat time & support from the team & I think she'd have a good season.

She has had more chances then other possibly more talented drivers.

Heck, Alex Gurney, Jon Fogarty, etc...didn't even get a chance or over half of the GrandAm / ALMS field.

Fogarty never getting the opportunity to race in IndyCar has been one of the biggest fuck ups by the sport in the last ten years. He wins two Atlantic championships. Scores 8 wins and 15 podiums in 26 races. Rahal opts to take Danica to IndyCar.

Actually, Fogarty was Rahal's first choice but he didn't want to run the ovals so..

Doesn't sound like that is a very professional team.

I doubt Saavedra will do any better than she did. Surely they could find a better driver than him? :o

It is not the first nor will it be the last contract ever to be terminated early or without sufficient reasoning.

In this world, money heals all wounds.

Then Jay might have to do a little more extra-curricular activity to find some.
