When Grosjean was interviewed by Sky he said he didn't know what happened as he hadn't seen a video.

Just watching the re-run on Sky from the pit lane channel, He was shown just after the accident standing on the Lotus pit wall watching all of the replays the 1st time they were shown.


I miss the similar shot the local broadcaster used to have there, Thought it gave a great sensation of speed:

That camera shot was awesome.

Indeed, now only used in highlight videos. If you have a camera there, use it goddamnit! FOM really sucks.

In other news, D'Ambrosio is confirmed as Grosjeans replacement.

Agreed. Lotus said they weren't going to rush a decision and we've not seen anything from any of the typically reliable media outlets confirming anything yet. Although I don't expect anyone other than D'Ambrosio to drive.

The photos made it look like Pastor completely cocked up and drove into the back of him. The video makes it look like Glock ran a little wide before turning into the corner. Pastor could/should have still backed out, but it's not as bad as I imagined.

I wonder why they never picked up on it during the TV coverage. You'd think that one of the cameras would have followed the cars around the first corner.

Well Pastor still went for a gap that didn't exist even if Timo turned in a tiny bit later than the cars ahead.

Yeaa, he was completely impatient. Yes, what happened on the first lap wasn't his fault but you can't just drive angry. That's what happens when you do.

They did have a camera on them, wasnt shown in the broadcast though afaik. I can post it sometime.

So basically Pastor managed to make it to the first corner twice and was involved in an accident both times.

Also what happened to him on the straight is a mystery, the frong wing could've folded under the car and made the front go up in the air causing a crash, I guess we'll never know unless there's a fancam view out there...
