I agree, the yellow should have been thrown as soon as the 47 was up in smoke, in the groove, in turn one.

But Kyle loses on the last lap so I'm happy.

Problem was that no one could see the oil though.

I guess if you oil the hell out of the track, you can manufacture an exciting finish every time.

Good win for Ambrose, but I would have preferred to see him drive to it instead of inherit it based on NASCAR's incompetence.

I'm curious, how is this any different from what Indycar did at New Hampshire in the rain last year? They ignored severely inclement track conditions in favor of not wanting the race to end under caution.

I have a feeling that, if the roles were reversed, and Kyle Busch pulled off the win over Keselowski or Ambrose due to the oil, that the tone of this thread would be very different.

I'm not going on one of my bitchfit Jeff Gordon fan rants today, I would be saying this even if he didn't spin...am I the only person who thinks the whole finish was bullshit?

That tops the Kurt Busch vs Robby Gordon Busch Series finish in 06.

Now: Let us predict how hilarious that finish would've been if there was still gravel in the turn 1 runoff

Being fully constructive, it seems like you try to find the bad in everything. Good lord, it was a great finish. It was good racing, no matter who was running up there.

I agree to an extent.

If they truly didn't know there was oil on the track, I don't know what else they could have done. It was still an incredible show of driving by both Keselowski and Ambrose. But it was only because of a dangerous condition on track that Kyle didn't continue to pull away.

This finish is definitely not one that should be used towards the "add more road course races" argument, because of the circumstances, but I still thoroughly enjoyed watching those two brawl but not wreck each other.

Did anyone think that if it was completely a hazard that maybe we would have seen many other cars slipping everywhere on the last lap? There were more cars than the 18, 2 and 9 on the track.

Debbie Downer syndrome goin on here. It was a great, hard racing, exciting last lap. Let's all enjoy that... I mean Michigan is next week guys....

NASCAR ignores the same corner officials who report debris until it suits them to throw a caution, and even sends them out when there is no debris to pretend to pick up the non existent items. So NASCAR blaming marshals is a bit fucking rude by them frankly.

Gordon also said he spun because of oil, and the broadcast was rightfully focused right at the lead battle the entire last lap or so.
