Pocono can be boring sometimes (okay, a lot of the time). But at least it's a different kind of boring than what we normally get. I actually kind of look forward to Pocono now.

Spot on. What this article is missing is why NASCAR is allowing guys like JWT to buy their way into Cup races. Honestly, I think it's because no one there has pride in the sport anymore. There's no one figurehead that has a fixed vision and standard they're driven to uphold. It's just a big company now, full of people who can't really remember how they got there or what they wanted to do, but driven to do just enough to keep their jobs.

But this is probably more of a "Fuck you NASCAR" post.

If JWT won on fuel mileage, the world would explode. Of coarse he would have to not crash within 10 laps to do that and we all know that will happen.

I've kinda thought the same thing. Maybe it's a flipside to the 'boys have it' mentality that goes unsaid, that if drivers can determine and police their own behavior then teams can do the same with driving standards. Regardless, I seem to get that vibe from teams and drivers as far as settling for good points days rather than wins, and trying to put a good face on the bad shit that happens. If it would be any other sport, you'd say they've lost the coach, and the coach in this circumstance would be Helton, France et. al.

The Pocono walls better be ready on Sunday. Something tells me JWT will be paying them a visit at least once.

Witnessing JWT's Cup series debut in person is one treat I didn't expect, this weekend. Should be interesting...

Make sure you're not sitting in the first few rows.

I'll be in the front row of the second grandstand, right at the S\F line... so if, by some miracle, he manages to wreck on the front-stretch and sail as high as I am, then more power to him. haha

Hell yes it is. Then again, I think pretty much any chicken place is better than KFC, even though I am from Kentucky! But yes I legitimately love Zaxby's. Jeff and I stopped there last week on the way to the ARCA race in fact.
