With a non-Ganassi/Penske driver actually leading the points, can we have not only the first driver to win a championship with only 4 races to go (5 had Qingdao not double-book a beer festival at the same time as the IndyCar race) that's not a Penske or Ganassi driver, but also the first American since Sam Honish, Jr. in 2006 to win the IndyCar championship?

Race is on ABC. NBC Sports Network was supposed to take this race, but they figured that some international multi-sport cultural event takes priority over an IndyCar race and decided to move their IndyCar team on ABC.

That also means that Bob Jenkins will call a race on ABC for the final time ever.

Franchitti starts 2nd, followed by Pagenaud, Tagliani, Dixon and Briscoe.
