Karthikeyan had a Front/Left suspension failure according to HRT.

I think that was fairly easy to see on the TV.

Tobias, have you found out what caused the abortion of the start? was it simply a temp failure in the light's system?

I thought it was actually due to Schumacher stalling and Charley Whiting reacting to it.

Schumacher did stall after the abortion of the start.

I haven't found out yet, no.
People often say "go with your first thought", and I think Charlie might have f*cked up pressing the wrong button quite frankly.

yeah, as far as I heard, Schumacher's turning off his engine was a consequence of the abortion, and not the other way around.

Great strategy for Button. Looked like the old McLaren days were they destroyed every race for Alonso with a bad strategy.

The reason for Michael Schumacher entering the pits just one lap after the actual race start was a puncture apparently.

As Artur Craft posted above Schumacher turned off his own engine after the start was aborted. That confirms he wasn't the reason for the aborted start.

but what was? I noticed there was quite a time interval between the last car lining up and the sign for another formation lap being given.

I truly think Charlie f*cked up, especially because you could see him gesticulating quite nervously.

However. This article actually states that Schumacher DID in fact cause the aborted start. Not because of switching off his engine but for being out of position...

I dont get it why penalty its getting worse and worse with the stupid penalties, everything is ok for me, "Pastor caused collision" i mean f... you fia stewards just f... you. May the man burn in hell who makes this stupid decisions. Cant you see he is destroying the racing, if this is racing, at all????

I'm pretty sure anyone else would have gotten away with it, but since Pastor keeps driving into other people every race the penalty is ok IMO

At first I thought it was a harsh penalty. And looking to the incident itself, I still think it's harsh. But it came from a driver with a previous historic of incidents. So, I feel the penalty is valid to try to chill Maldonado a bit. Any penalty should be, at first, a way to discourage an unacceptable behavior than just a punishment itself.

Paul did everything fine there with Maldonado, he gave him enough space and didn't shut the door. Pastor however pretty much oversteered and rammed Paul off the road. Similar to what he did at Silverstone with Perez. The incident itself wasn't such a biggie, but Maldonado constantly drives into othe people out there, no wonder why he instantly receives a penalty. Which is - in my view - more than well deserved.

No not angry, happy my man won, but i think its not fair with the penalty. Its even worse then on f1 videogame. To me pass was ok. Why they didnt the give a penalty to Piquet when he passed Trulli in Canada 2008, he rammed him a bit... and nothing. He passed, but today OMG, every little conatct... Then put bumpers like on go karts around cars.
