The NASCAR circus heads due north to the tricky New Hampshire mile, while the Trucks and ARCA boys take a detour to Iowa Speedway.

TNT's horrendous commercial-packed, mashed potato-fueled coverage comes to end this weekend. With the mac & cheese packed away until another summer, ESPN will be sure to do better when their coverage begins in two weeks.

Or not.

Iowa should mark Darrell Basham's 300th career ARCA start. Wonder if I can contact the Speed guys and maybe get him a mention on TV or something. Just thought it'd be cool.

Apparently Basham's 300th start will be at IRP, not Iowa. Got an email from the team this morning about that. ARCA's own Don Radebaugh wants to call me to compare their info with mine.

Should be a good race at Iowa tonight and tomorrow. I really wish the cup guys would race here instead of one of the cookie cutters.

Must have been an issue with the graphic, because he's actually 16 years and 2 months old.

Boring race so far...so just like all the other ARCA races.

I'm really surprised, I thought it was only the big speedways that you had cars 15mph faster than everyone else.

Hasn't been any idiocy, this could be green all the way through.

Cue yellow back from ads.

Since Iowa basically handles like both a short track and an intermediate track, there is a larger gap between the "top" teams
(Venturini, Cunningham, Roulo, ThorSport, etc.) and others in terms of performance. 40 car fields don't help much also.

The typical short tracks are fun to watch, though.
