Yeah, how dare people have an opinion different from yours!

No one has a problem with different opinions damn it!! I just don't like it when people call it "bullshit" or "farcical" just beacuse it was red flagged (which was effectively the only call they could make there) and all the drivers got a second chance. Of course there will always be winners or losers in these conditions but this is how it is.

Echti, I don't know if you are referring to me but I called this 'bullshit' not because the red flag, but the length of the red flag. In my opinion the red flag was out for far too long. I think the session could have been restarted much earlier which wouldn't have resulted in those faster laptimes we saw now. Because of the length of the red flag, I think drivers like Vergne and Perez didn't make it into Q3 where if the session would have been restarted earlier, the would have made it.

But to be fair: did you expect anything else here??

Wait, you're dictating how the forum is run now?

No, I'm merely pointing out how discussion forums work.

Nevermind, I misread what you were saying. Sorry.

Fernando Alonso, truly epic once again. Bow down to this man.

Great to see Schumi back up there as well. Although I'm certain he could've had pole today if they had switched to inters earlier. Still if its wet tomorrow, the grid may not matter a whole lot anyway.

Don't get why people are complaining about what happened in Q2.

Q2 been red flagged & restarted rather than called off is standard procedure, I don't recall ever hearing anyone complain when its happened in the past.

You had most, If not all the drivers saying it was too wet with visibility too bad & aquaplaning too frequent. Yes they could have pulled into the pits if they were not happy but then everyone would start complaining about that like when nobody wanted to go out during FP2 yesterday.

We're complaining because once the rain stopped and the track was in a good condition, they continued trying to dry it.

There was still a hell of a lot water. They only thing they did was trying to remove the standing water to prevent aquaplaning.

hoping for a dry race tomorrow. I don't want a safety car start, nor do I want cars trailing the safety cars on extreme wets while it's nearly slick conditions.

Michael was also out of the Top 10 when the red flag was out. So a bit weird to be mad at Ferrari and cheer for Schumi... :p

Letting Q2 run to a conclusion is what people are annoyed for. The FIA shouldn't need to tell the teams when the conditions in a session where you need not be on the track that the conditions are too bad, the teams should know for theselves. . Didn't Senna say the FIA were right to red flag becuase someone one was going to crash at that time they were running 10 seconds slower than they had previously been? It seems the teams and drivers lack a certain personal responsibility. It was that wet there was no point in running. You pit and that's the luck of the draw. The session draws to a soggy and anti-climatic denoument. Everyone had a chance to set a time and the fact that Senna hadn't, or the Ferrari's and Schumacher were so horribly off the pace, was not the FIA's problem, it was those drivers problem.

If we then had to wait till 3pm, like we did for Q3, I have no problems with that since you would be starting the session under extreme weather.

it was a great qualifying after all.

I was a bit dissappointed when the red flag came out, but then again, the conditions were really getting dangerous. With all these cars sliding...

It's better to have a red flag for rain, than a red flag for a bad crash.

But I agree on the fact they waited a bit too long to restart again.

And Q3 was just awesome to watch.

Good lap or not, the circumstances make that the most undeserved pole that I can remember. The handling of Q2 was an absolute farce, and we waited far too long to restart as usual.
