Actually my first impression with that SC was that it was to help the spectacle of the race. Especially when they didn't bother to use the SC for extracting Vettels car, which was far more dangerous for the marchals.

:? to this post and to Markko's comments...

Invisibris that just happened to be dropped thanks to the retarded driving by one of Markko's own junior talents? Well that's not invisibris at all then is it???

The SC was needed for the massive amounts of debris laid down ironically by a Red Bull contracted driver, not to recover the cars.

Trumpeting my own horn here, but I started doing driver ratings in 2008 (badly) and stopped for some reason last year. Now that I'm trying to get more professional, I decided to bring them back

Helmut Marko questioning a debris caution like this warrants a certain joke about himself.

I thought Schumacher's 3rd place was under investigation for something or other... According to Humphrey... Or had the stewards had enough of reviewing incidents for the day?

Yea 8O and there was a fairly large piece of magnesium wheel on the track as well which had the potential to do a lot of damage.

Just to clear some things up, 'invisibris' refers to debris which clearly isn't there. Sometimes it is used sarcastically when some of us think that NASCAR is just throwing a boredom caution but it usually turns out that there was something there.

I think Gabriel was mooting the idea of this sort of phenomenon being brought into F1.

Really surprised the Marshals were expected to clear Vettel's car under green though.
If the SC had come out for that, I don't think anyone here would be bitching.

I was surprised they didn't for Vettels car, it seems sometimes they do and sometimes they don't when it comes to the moving of cars on the track. I would have thought given the fact they were on a corner that it would have been called though, may have been double yellows but they were still travelling pretty quickly. Only takes a puncture or similar to have a car hurtling towards them.

Marko himself got blind because of debris hitting him. That's why I get shocked about where is this moaning coming from.

The marshals looked decidedly worried when recovering Vettel's car. Probably should have been a safety car, can't understand why there wasn't.

It's only a matter of time before a marshal gets hit, it was very dangerous to recover Vettels car there without a SC. Just a 1 lap SC phase would have been enough to clear that car safely.

Yea, I wasn't too impressed when I saw the marshalls on track, you could sorta see their faces were like "wtf is going on?"

it's probably the most dangerous thing left in F1: people on the track. Be it marshals or a driver getting out of his car but still on the track (I felt worried for Grosjean for instance). A freak hit could happen anytime.

Problem is,in F1 we don't see a 1 lap SC phase, and we lose laps and laps for nothing sometimes,it usually takes 2,3 laps too much.
