there are isolated cells around the track. I'm pretty sure it won't affect the race but you never know.

On that panoramic shot, the rain is clearly seen over the city.

Who was the Race director for that 1953 race? Brian Barnhart (Or his Grandfather)

If they manage to dry that cement quickly, I don't see why not keep racing, only 50 laps to go, c'mon. Looks like they'll comeback just for a yellow flag lap and then finish the race.

Some of the first motorcycle races were performed on ovals made of wooden planks. Eventually some would fly off the track and riders had to duck/swerve to avoid them.
