Someone with some reality here. We all wanted to see Sato win, but he fucked it up. Sorry, that's how it is, and no amount of crying and swearing and "I'm not watching any more, boohoo" posts are going to change that. Suck it up - Sato did what Sato does, he made a mistake.

Would've been so much better if Sato had wiped Dario out at the same time. Then it's fair for everyone.

Sato pays for his exuberance, Dario pays for channeling Schumacher.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Sometimes I hate being fan of aggressive drivers. But when they win it tastes so much better.

Guess we have to wait a little longer for that.

I thought it was an amazing Indy500. One of the best I have ever seen.

I'm going to keep watching, and I'm going to do it rooting against that cheap shit Franchitti for every lap.

Sato made the mistake sadly - Dario did give him just enough room.

Doesn't change the fact that I can't stand Chip Ganassi or Ashley Judd and that Dario isn't someone I wanted winning.

Props to Oriol Servia in 4th.. I think Ashley Judd has gotten more air time today than he has.

Takuma Sato: Providing racing fans with a fruitful mixture of unexpected brilliance and hilarious blunders since 2002.

A great great race, a spectacular finish, just Dario makes it seem less awesome.

He almost had him though, and I think his timing was great. Doing it on the back may have left enough momentum for the crossover....

Drive of his life though. He'll learn from this. Nice to see Honda are not completely out of it on ovals as well

Yeah. Dario didn't really win the race, Sato lost. Kudos to Franchitti, tho, he drove a perfect race after getting Viso'd.

Note that I'm no longer a Franchitti fan (still bitter over Toronto).

Exactly, JR did a mistake last year as well.
Dario drove a great race and he is a well deserved winner.

Sato likely wouldn't have spun if he had room. At least not that early in the corner.

TBH it's an absolute bloody miracle that DIDN'T happen, as soon as Sato went spinning I was sure he was going to clip Dario along the way and probably be across the track for 3rd/4th/5th to run into...

Would've been a classic "so who won?" finish if that had happened, they'd still be analysing the tape now....

(....before giving it to Helio! )

They need to bring back the apron at Indy. What you saw there was what would have happened in 1982 with Rick Mears and Gordy Johncock had the apron not been there. Had that little strip of pavement been there, you've got a great finish. That's just racing.

I think if Sato decided to hold on Dario's rear he'd be catch by Dixon instead and Dario did nothing wrong... hey! It's an attempt of overtaking at the final lap of Indy 500 and there was no contact.

Anyway, at least we have a new 'Spin'n win king'. :p
