Bumping!

Couple things to note from that video... This years pole would have made that race, and the crowd was pretty good for a bump day.

Pre-Split Pole Day & Bump Day always used to draw big crowds.

Well, even in 1996 they had good crowds because the people probably didn't realize their favorites weren't there. Then come 97 when the people got wise and the cars got slow, loud, and ugly nobody showed up.

1996 probably it had the excitement of the track records, and plenty of people who may have gotten their tickets with a lot of time in advance, when there were still talks about an agreement between the Indy Racing League and CART for the race.

I wonder if Andretti, Hinchcliffe, and Hunter-Reay not running today in conditions that will mirror raceday are going to bite them in the ass next Sunday. They felt pretty confident on fast friday too and look how that worked out for them.

Concerning what? It will just be open practice until 6pm. Then Carb Day, then the race.

No, there aren't any cars left to bump their way in. 2 hours of practice and they call it a day.

You know, with or without bumping, I could watch cars driving around the IMS all day long. NNS race on TV, but I'm stuck to the NBCSN stream.

This is the best I've seen Robin Miller in a long time. Great segment...

ESPN, take note. That is how to do a DW segment...
