I don't think they run them slower for safety reasons I think it's more so they don't pop the motors like Jourdain just did.

Jourdains made 339 laps on that engine. That was more then any driver did this month.

Chris D just put up some pictures of where he'll be sitting on Race Day. He may actually have one of the best seats at the whole Speedway.

actually thats only 850 miles. they are supposed to go about 1500. (or what ever the rule is cant remember exactly now) so its kinda concerning that his only went half of what its supposed to

But those are for road/street courses. Oval engines won't last 1500 miles.

That is a beautiful view. I'll have a similar one for qualifying tomorrow. Alot of the turn one area has good sight lines. I'll take more pics for you guys.

226mph has been hit at Indy.. and to think some were worried we wouldn't hit such speeds..

So far 31 drivers have taken to the track and 27 have been over 221mph.
