I still don't get it why they needed to build those tarmac runoff areas. No F1 car has flipped here and there's enough space to stop the car from any speed and like we saw what happened to Alonso last week, with gravel driver has to pay for his mistakes.

it's actually hilarious that they have built a car slower than a GP2 car. How is that even possible?

Actually, in FP2 HRT was about 1,5 seconds faster than the GP2 cars...still, absolutely ridiculous.

And Red Bull is any better, considering Speedtrap speeds?

really?? Are we all that spoiled?? Everyone forgot the times where Mansell was 1 second ahead of Patrese on the grid who himself was another second faster than #3 on the grid?

Yes they are slow but not that extreme as it used to be. And back then drivers didn't really complained but just coped with it.
Complaining about it says more about the current crop of drivers than HRT.

All in all is Red Bull way better then Ferrari. And the Strongness of the Red Bull was never the Topspeed. Its funny to see that every Team who uses a Ferrari Engine is faster then the them.

I guess that's because the car handles so much like a supermarket trolley that they have to run it with so much wing just to make the damn thing understand what a corner is.

McLaren looking really strong. Mercedes fast over a lap but tyres wearing quickly. Red Bull struggling a bit but STR look good. Could be a fun race, wet or dry.

Maybe because the GP2 car has been developed by Dallara over an 18-24 month period and since it's launch has received continuous feedback from over 20 odd drivers and their teams which can be applied to the car to make it faster. Whereas HRT have only just designed and launched 2 cars with little funding or testing and has yet to get anywhere near it's actual true pace.

I'm pleased to see Virgin and McLaren doing well with their normal noses. Not only does the step appear to be an ugly solution, it may also be a rubbish solution.

Their nose required a lower car in general and thus the driver is sitting lower. Apparently sitting higher/different has more benefits than the bump gives problems.....

Seems to be working out quiet well for the bump cars doesn't it?

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.
