I present to you the 2012 FORMULA FUN COMPETITION

*Terms of acces*

F1 2012 is go in a bit more than a week from now, and together with that, I organise a competition.
The concept is easy and is open to all members from the Fastlane and TBK-light at any stage in the season.

*General guidelines*

For each Grand Prix meeting you are supposed to post your top 10 race results before Free Practice 1 starts (in this topic)
Preferably this would be during the week preceding the race and no later than 10am local time on Friday (when FP1 starts).
Note that edits made after FP1 got underway will not be allowed. Any post submitting predictions that says 'edited' after the time FP1 started will not be counted.

*Competition rules*

The competition will work via the current F1 points system.
Points will be awarded as this
1st place: 25 points
2nd place: 18 points
3rd place: 15 points
4th place: 12 points
5th place: 10 points
6th place: 8 points
7th place: 6 points
8th place: 4 points
9th place: 2 points
10th place: 1 point

It is essential to get the right driver in the right place. Only the driver in the correct place will give you the number of points that driver earned in the race.

An example will clarify the situation:

Imagine this is the (fictious) prediction you submitted before FP1 preceding a random Grand Prix meeting

Imagine this being the (fictious) result of the random Grand Prix meeting

What is your result for the Grand Prix of that weekend then?
=>In this case you got the position of Massa (4th= 12 points) and Perez (9th=2 points) right.
This means you earned yourself 14 points for this round (eventhough some of the drivers you predicted in your top 10 were also in the final top 10, but they finished in a different position).

A new rule for this year are the 'jokers': Every participating member has three jokers he can use during the season.
What is the function of a joker? If you decide to make use of your joker for, say, the Malaysian GP, your score will be doubled. Basically, building further on the previous example, you would gain 28 points instead of 'just' 14.

You can not use 3 jokers in consecutive rounds. There is a maximum of 2.

*Competition winners reward*

At the end of the season the member with most points is declared the winner. The winning member will receive the FIA 2012 F1 review DVD as soon as it is released .

*Teams*

However, there are potentially 3 F1 2012 reviews to be won due to the possibility of having teams in this competition. A team will consist of 2 (and only 2) members. The team with most points at the end of the season will also win the 2012 review (each member individually). You are free to participate alone or in team. Naturally your chances of winning this fantastic price will be higher when competing in a team. Pick your teammate wisely.

Team formation is possible at any time, however, once the team is established, it will stand for the rest of the season!
When you decide to compete in team, please adopt a team name. Post your teammate and teamname in this topic, preferably before the season starts.

*Special rules for the Fastlane / TBK-light association*

Members from the Fastlane and TBK-light are entitled to join this competition. Naturally speaking you cannot enter this competition twice so as to have an unfair advantage. Therefore, when participating, please kindly tell us your Fastlane name if you are a TBK member or your TBK name when you are a Fastlane member. Also tell us on which forum you will post your picks.

but the only trouble I have is the rewards system. It is far easier to predict P1 (Vettel, reward 25 points), compared to predict P10 (almost anyone, reward 1 point)?
