it was not bad, it kept me interested for most of the race, but in the end there was lack of overtaking action on track, or Fuji TV missed it.

and why does it take soooooo long to remove debris on track?

Assuming you're asking why the SC was out so long, according to the driver tracker they were still waiting on Trulli and Liuzzi to catch the train. They went green the same lap they caught the train.

A 4, the race was boring and from FP1 till race ended the Fuji tv director totaly sucks, he missed all the action or showed Kamui at least 4 hours...

the race was boring for such an amazing track... good to see the gravel is still there

My wish is for more DRS next year and maybe a rule change preventing the fans bitching about it every time it is used!

For me the regulations are finally "right" this year, it took a while of banning/unbanning KERS, doing something about the lack of passing due to Aero, changing tyre manufacturers to a company that supports the quality of racing over its own marketing and, in my view the most important, getting over the addiction to refuelling that F1 had for 15 years or more that did more to ruin races than anything else, imo.

This year battles take place on the track, not the pitlane, and it is actually possible to pass the car in front.
Hell there was even overtaking in Hungary.
I'll take what we have now over the last few years of processions, thank you very much!

No its not as the teams voted againt ground effects coming back because they felt going down that route would be too expensive.

And this is one of my biggest problems with DRS, Its the laziest solution & since many within F1 believe its been successful they can't be bothered to do anything else when there are better options which could be looked at.

They had an opportunity to really try & sort things out for the 2013 regulation change & decided to pretty much ignore what Patrick Head & Rory Byrne (Who the FIA had asked to come up with proposals) had come up with because they felt there were cheaper alternatives, One of which is keeping DRS.

It was during the race, and Vettel still managed to finish 3rd. He is God.

That's fair enough, I am no expert, I have spoken to my lecturer about a device that removes turbulence from the back of an open wheel racing car and he (Prof. Simon Watkins, worked with Williams in the 80's) kyboshed the idea saying any device like that would ruin a cars handling, and the fact that no other series (including the new IndyCar, which is built by Swift isn't it? Pardon my ignorance) have tagged along with the idea gives credence to the idea it doesn't work.


The new car's built by Dallara, Swift did submit proposals.

What sort of device did you propose?

It's no where near as simple as that though is it? The point in a standard car is everybody gets the same thing, so nobody has a performance advantage (except for preparing the cars). So any downforce lost from the rear is simply balanced out through design. The overall result may be that the car is a bit slower, but it doesn't matter because everybodies car is slower.

Givens Swifts success, they aren't just banging rocks together, they know what they are doing. The Mushroom Buster (as they call it) diffuser is on the Formula Nippon cars and works great. It hasn't 'ruined' their handling, and the racing is great.

You aren't taking a current car, slapping on a new diffuser then tell them to deal with it. Like any major change of regulation, the entire car is built with it in mind.

Perez' fastest lap was on lap 39. At the end of the race, Button had to save fuel.

A rookie, with flu, around Suzuka in perhaps the 6th or 7th best car. Irrelevant of the tyres, it was impressive.

I was following the race on Live Timing too, and Perez was doing faster times before and after his pit stop. He simply was one of the fastest around.
I was wrong though about the older tires, he indeed did his fastest lap 2 laps after his stop.
