By the way, why are Kamui behind Renaults and Schumi? For my understandment Kamui did a time on sectors one and two and probably even crossed the line in the pitlane. Renault drivers didn't do anything and I'm not sure about Schumacher either.

I think that Schumacher did 22nd to 13th (from memory) in 1998. But that was with the 2nd best car of the field, a rocket start, and in a "nothing to lose" mood.

Hoping to see another storming drive by Hamilton to the win, like he used to do when he'd had a hard-luck quali. Would put an end to this "Shame Lewis Shame" rubbish, at least momentarily.

It is just an error from McLaren to bring out the cars so lately in Q3.

Glad I didn't wake up to watch this nonsense, when 4 of the top 10 decide not to bother to do a lap something's seriously wrong.

I was so excited for F1 this season and this DRS experiment. It did turn out awesome. But Vettel killed the excitement.

like if you don't set a time in Q3, you have to start on the tyres you have set your best Q2 time on

even more simple, if you don't set a time in Q3, for whatever reason, you will have to start at the back of the cars that lined up in Q2, meaning in this case the 11th will move to P7, 12th will move to P8 etc.

what a load of nonsense was that all about? Q3 used to be a thriller last year.

fair enough. i know domination is a part of f1 and happens once in a while, it happens in every sport and it's deserved, but it's boring to watch

They have to go back to qualifying tyres next year. Then the problem is solved. I can fully understand the teams who decide not to drive.

How about just letting them start on whatever the hell rubber they want?

it's amazing, that with so much regulations, even down to the number of cilynders, a team can be so much stronger.

I also blame the overwhelming reliability these cars have these days, and the 'forgiving' tracks. How many times did a driver get onto the tarmac run off area but was able to continue? Lik in FP, vettel was slightly over the curbs, into the gravel and bam he was out. that's what I want to see. I want the feeling the are on the edge. Take parabolica. Not a difficult corner, but because of the lack of run off area it is great to see them driving close to the white line.

it has been a good year regarding races, but a bad year for an exciting championship, but I think we have been spoilt in recent years.

Well the last few championships have been very exciting - 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2010 went down to the final race.

With regards to tracks, yes, its a great old school track. Even recently the challenge has been neutered slightly by the run-off at Turn 1, Spoon and 130r. I mean, take out the barriers and add Istanbul style run-off and the track would be simply alright.

I think Webber said it best when he said that by the time you've done Degner, it feels like the equivalent of 6 laps of Bahrain

That's not the problem.

The problem is that Renault, Force India or Sauber have to use 3 set of softs to get into Q3. Red Bull, McLaren, Ferrari can only use one set of softs to reach Q3. That's a big difference, if you look at the tyre issues this year. The gap between the topteams and the subtop-teams are just getting bigger and bigger with these tyres.

You score points in the race, not in the qualifying. Toro Rosso is doing a good job this year. They are saving tyres in qualifying, and score a lot of points in the race. If you look to Alguersuari, he have failed to reach Q2 many times, but he had an advantage in the race.

If they bring back the qualifying rules (and ban the parc farme rules), the problem is solved, we should get a better qualifying, and you won't see (dis)advantage in the race of drivers who have used/not used the softer tyres. Without problems, Rosberg can maybe score a lot of points tomorrow. Not because he is doing a hell of a race, but he is just having a tyre advantage. Just like Webber in China.
