Well, I know I'm gonna get crucified for saying this, but not the greatest LM24 in history.

Once the Toyotas disappeared the race seemed to fizzle out throughout the classes and bar one or two little mistakes nothing much else happened.

But its still a great event and worth watching these cars drive around such a great track, whatever the competition level, so I can't complain too much.

Like everyone else in here, I can blame it all on Peugeot for their shock pull out, Toyota shouldn't have had to bear the burden of Audi-fighting alone! :p

Let's find Ellis with his Scottish saltire flag somewhere in the crowd!

I think it was always going to fall flat after the epicness of 2010 and 2011 - Toyota provided entertainment early on but then the inevitable happened and they retired. Hopefully 2013 will be better!

My flag has a little yellow Lola flag on top then the saltire then the Cornish flag.

Dome finally finished the lap, very broken.

Took the words right out of my mouth tbh.

It's going to take a lot to top the races from 2008, 2011 etc. but even though this 24 hours was a bit more "normal" I have to agree that the excitement petered out as soon as the Toyotas both retired. I was sort of expecting it anyway, but I still feel like we were cheated out of at least a couple more hours' worth of racing.

Also, I'm pretty bitter that all my favourite cars ended up retiring :p

Not as good a race as during the Peugeot period, but still enjoyable.

Really hope Toyota comes with more cars next year.

i had the feeling that Toyota, while being fast, were going to have issues and Audi would take an easy win. The thing I looked forward the most was the Delta Wing and I really wanted it to finish the full 24. Good race though.

This was already more than I expected from Toyota, but I would feel a lot less disappointed if the #8 had also retired due technical issues and not that crash.

Every time I hear the German national anthem I expect Italy's to follow. Problem of growing up in the Schumi era.

Right then, I am going to pry myself away from my phone and get back to normal family life.

Going to the park and trimming the hedge later!

The lack of a battle against Audi did make the race a bit less interesting. Nevermind... here's hoping next year will be better.

At least Toyota showed some potential.

Well, the race had enough excitement to keep from studying, so. Even a more tame Le Mans is still a great Le Mans!
