Karl Reindler's had a fireball crash

But race still sucked (I watched the end of it).

What I like about V8 Supercars, they're going from Abu Dhabi, one of the most exotic, glamorous amazing destinations next to a beautiful harbour and surrounded by a 5 star hotel, to Winton, a cold race track next to a primary school and a few sheds.

And I guarantee you Winton will be 100x better.

Also, I betcha Reindler can't wait for COTF, that's the 2nd car to catch fire on him in 18 months. Took them a good 3 or so minutes to put this one out though, which was pretty poor.

Look at this beef between Casey Stoner and Mark Winterbottom. Twitter link: https://twitter.com/Official_CS27/statu ... 3522041856

Btw, it's almost 100% sure Casey will run V8's next year with red bull backing.

Stoner pretty obviously trolling. I get the feeling it's some publicist's idea to attract attention ahead of Casey announcing his plans for next year.

Conflict for Whincup with personal Monster sponsorship as well as Triple 8's Monster Dunlop Series car.

Looks like some trouble has come from Monster Energy regarding Red Bull's sponsorship next year.

It's the same old news again folks. Whincup has got an unassailable lead in the championship.

Today he joined Bob Jane, Jim Richards & Allan Moffat as a 4 time championship winner.... and you'd be hard pressed to bet against him equalling the record of 5 held by Pete, Johnson & Skaife next year

Completely unnecessary safety car in race 2 there. Moffat hadn't even stopped, and even if he did there was no need for it.

I doubt that'd be the reason. I read that as "I don't want to drive a Mercedes next year." I don't reckon he'd be wanting out if SBR were still with Ford.

And I was at Winton over the weekend, and one of the course commentators called V8SC out for that Race 2 SC. And it seemed like I picked a great spot to watch yesterday's race, as I saw Holdsworth head right towards us on the grass, Premat almost turn his car into a hatchback and Johnson spin and almost get hit by D'Alberto right in front of me. Haven't seen that much action attending a V8SC race before.

Given the specifications of next years car, it would be a very silly and petty reason to not race a car because the common chassis was cloaked in some different sheet metal (and i'm a life long Ford man)

He might have some vital contacts at Ford pulling him the other way, doesn't have to have anything to do with badge preference.

It's confirmed. Shane has quit V8's. Amazing really, shocked... Seems as if hes not going to change teams or race somewhere else either.

Suppose there is no point in doing something if you do not enjoy it. Sad though, he's talented and added something to the series but no shortage of great talent coming through to fill the void.

I'm pretty sure that he'll be doing more drifting as well as doing the quad bike racing etc.
