Can't take much from those testing times, look where the T8 boys are for starters. Premat will probably only come into his own mid season as well I reckon.

I don't think it's been mentioned here, but the 1st of 4 races at the AGP will be speedway style, where cars at the back of the field after a number of laps will be called into pit lane, then a few more cars laps later. It's a knockout qualifying race.

Also, Dunlop is now the major naming rights sponsor of the Development Series. So we can now refer to them as the "Dunlop cars/series". Although I still think "Konica cars" had a nice ring to it.

Auto Action has the scoop that the model Nissan will be campaigning next year will be the new Altima (not the Maxima thank God), and some artist's impressions:

Looks pretty good. Seem to be pushing the Altima world-wide, there's a partly works backed team supposed to be entering the Continental Tire Series in the States with a couple of those too.

I knows it only a mock up and that will very unlikely be the final livery, but its a shocker of a paintjob, even back in 1991

The 1990 scheme looked alot smarter

Looks good from the rear 3/4 view. Everything else is just yuck.

I like the '91 scheme as well.

I'll wait until the car actually gets released before I make a judgement on it. The scheme used on it looks nice though.

Also, Taz Douglas has been confirmed in the LDM Commodore this year. Nice to see an underdog get a shot at the big time, hopefully he doesn't flog around 5 seconds off the pace.

At least he knows he has the best name in the field.

He was pretty awful in the Dev series though, guess money speaks highly.

Nice touch

Quote:
The memory of V8 Supercars driver Jason Richards will forever be associated with one of Porsche's most famous race cars, thanks to a touching gesture by Porsche museum director Klaus Bischof.

The 1987 Le Mans-winning 962 was the last car Richards drove before his death from cancer on December 15 last year.

The 35-year-old Melbourne-based Kiwi had always wanted to drive the Le Mans 962. Coincidentally, it was in Australia on loan from the museum in Germany and on its way to New Zealand for a factory-sanctioned Porsche club event.

Bischof was told of Richards' dying wish and a few international phone calls later had arranged for him to take it for a spin at Sydney's Eastern Creek raceway.

If they keep Holbert's and Richard's name on there: eternal respect from me.

Well Holbert was one of the winning drivers of the car so I would hope they would keep it on there

It's going to be good when they get a full grid of cars! I'm looking forward to the enduro at the end of the season which is one week after the gold coast race so they are gona try and get a load of the internationals racing, Scott Dixon, Dario Franchtti, Mark Winterbottom etc. are all names that have been mentioned
