Possibly the only time at Ferrari when firing an Italian in charge made things worse.

------------------------

What's worse for Ferrari is that the general consensus was that they were able to string it together for one lap but were much worse over race distances.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

The ever optimistic Fernando Alonso

Quote:
Here, at the end of qualifying last year, we were 1”4 off the pace, while today, in Q2 it was 1”, therefore hypothetically one could say we are more competitive than we were back then

Unfortunately for Fred there's at least 3 other teams that have jumped ahead, so he'll have to beat them too.

So, Red Bull will need a very good DRS-system to pass cars in front of them. The four cars in front all goes > 310 km/h. Vettel only 304.

Well, they should be better in the race but it's not ideal. It's Ferrari who is the team to watch. So far, a lot of winter testing predictions have been true - everyone said the Ferrari was eating its tyres in race simulations...

Best qualifying for Schumacher after his comeback.
Worst qualifying for Vettel since Monza 2010.

Crackers, RTL got blocked during both the live broadcast and the rerun. Stream it is.

But still, good session, surprising to see Grosjean that well and the Red Bull's not so well.

@ciao89 - Not yet. Bouiller told Sky that they 'may' protest depending on the feedback they get from Whiting and that may not be until Sunday.

That sucks for Perez. Although it was kind of inevitable with the issues they had in Q2.
