Well, my very unprofessional analysis of the radar and the forecast seem to look like the best shot is between 3PM to 6PM. That at least is when the chance of rain is at it's lowest. So, if it stops raining around 3. It'll be at least an hour and a half to get the track race ready, so that's puts a green flag at an optimistic 4:45 with the possibility of roughly an hour of racing before the rain returns. That's not enough to get to halfway. After that, the best outlook is between 9PM to 2AM, which gives them more play room and possibly allows the race to reach conclusion at the wee small hours of the morning.

EDIT: If they don't race today/tonight, they're probably not going to get it in until Tues. That big blob that they're talking about is tracking NE and might miss the speedway.

Now its raining cats & dogs.. this sucks... :(

Looking @ the radar http://www.intellicast.com/National/Rad ... imate=true

The bulk of the heavy rain may go north after this batch passes. So there is still a glimmer of hope for today.

Anyways, I'm going out for now, hopefully rain will have stopped in a few hours...

Yeah, looking at the radar, that super huge blob seems like a direct hit. The window in between probably wont be long enough to even dry the track all the way. Damn.

Our best hope right now I think comes from the Weather.com 6 hour future radar. That radar shows that once this shower passes it should clear out, and that big blob to the west will push north and just barely maybe graze the track at about 7 local time. Followed by a clear radar behind it.

GRLevel 3 radar is showing a steady rain to the west of the track that is moving due west towards the track. Its not a big blob of heavy rain, but it looks light to steady.

Here's a radar shot from RadarScope. The track is just left of where the highways intersect.
