How does Casey Mears start second in the 2nd duel race when he qualified 5th? Shouldn't he start 3rd in the 1st race?

The #13 team finished 32nd in owner points last year. Being an even number, Mears races the 2nd duel. The only way a team that finishes in an even number position the previous year to race in the first duel is to get the pole.

Bowyer's time disallowed, moves to the back of his duel race.

FOX announced that during the last hour of the 500, they will have side-by-side ad breaks.

The car was too low in tech.

I think they made all that confusing shit up to prevent all of the big names from possibly ending up in the same race.

I love how Front Row Motorsport's facebook page has no mention at all of Tony Raines. Makes me wonder if someone else owns the car and there just using the front row name like last year when Gunselman actually owned the 37.

The news out of Indy said this is Raine's first 500? Is this true?

Possible Engine Changes. Chevy Dodge, and Toyota bitched to NASCAR about the power of the Fords the rumors I'm reading

Mike Joy: AND KURT BUSCH'S CAR IS DESTROYED!!

Maybe Mike Joy is told by the director to not talk about what the viewers can see in front of them?

I believe Raines ended up in the 3rd Front Row Motorsports car pretty late in the going. Landon Cassil was orginally going to drive that car but Front Row Motorsports gave him an out clause in his contract to allow him to take a full-time ride if he got one with another team, which he did. Then Front Row was considering Raines or Travis Kvapil for the ride and they went with Raines, while Kvapil got the ride with BK Motorsports, starting at Phoenix.

David Stremme getting locked in surprised me because I don't think Inception Motorsports attempted any of the plate races last year. Getting locked in on speed, in your first plate race is quite an accomplishment.

In a stock car, yes. Jeff did get up-side down before, just never in a stock car until Saturday night.
