Or 'Do we need a new poll?'

I would vote Yes.

I hope yes. But Magny-Cours would be nice too.

some Russian sites reporting Petrov will stay on at Caterham for 2013 and Force India will partner Paul di Resta with his former teammate, Adrian Sutil.

They come here for maintenance at Lufthansa Technik Malta. I believe that's in storage as it's been here a while.

looks like they were converting the plane into a cargo freighter, check all the covered windows

True, but than I think I could it could also have been Giedo Van Der Garde and that is much worser.

I'd take VdG and put Petrov in a Marussia, if that meant Chilton didn't get a seat.

LOL. I think we can conclude that the "new" teams are just some shitty field fillers for guys with rich daddy's (Chilton, Pic, Van der Garde).

I agree with that apart from what you say about Pic. He's actually done a very good job this season. With Olivier Panis as his mentor he should be destined for a healthy future.

Granted I have no idea how these things work, but it puzzles me as to why it seems to take so long.

Especially as I've heard that they edit it in segments, (Ben Edwards has already recorded the first half of his narration during the summer break...) so it's not like they have the whole season to tackle, just September onwards....

You'd think the Christmas market would be the time of the highest sales so they must be as frustrated as anyone it's not out in time for many F1Fans to open on Christmas day.

Used to be a traditional watch in my house at least.

Oh well, I'll have to settle for the BBC review on the 27th.

Agreed, Pic has been pretty impressive during the last part of the season

I think it's partly because of Bernie's/FOM's/FIA's arrogance...."they'll buy it anyways so why rush and release it in time for the holidays"
Or maybe they just really underestimate the power of christmas sales...

It has hardly anything to do with arrogance or the christmas market. It just needs time. Last years Blu-Ray disc had quite some issues as they released it just four weeks after the season finale: the summary of the final races looked like made in a rush, the extras had the wrong audio track and so on. I prefer a good review with plenty of footage released in January rather then an "unfinished" product just to please these who want it under their christmas tree.
And the F1 season review is usually something for the real F1 fan and not for the mainstream so I think it doesn't rely on the christmas sales as such.

I recall seeing one of Buxton's tweets saying that he recorded the last segment of the review just after the Brazil race.

I don't speak French or anything but I think this is a great article about Ronnie Peterson. Even if you can't read French like me, it still has some great photos and videos with it:

I have already mentioned this before,

but I still wonder what would change in Formula 1 if one (famous) driver would die on racetrack.
Senna's and Ratzenberger's death caused a lot of changes to Formula 1.
Nowadays, I think that Formula 1 is a lot more sensitive. A death would cause a lot of mess, because no-one is excepting it.

We had a lot of freak accidents, like Massa's or this one in Spa 2012 where everyone was just lucky, not more.
I won't mention Kubica's or Webber's because the cars are just made to be safe to survive accidents like this. Give Rosberg a road-car and he would have been dead like 20 times in his Abu Dhabi-crash.

As we have so many interesting people with interesting opinions here, I would really like to hear them :p
