Well in hindsight Lola wouldn't be a good choice either seeing the company is pretty much belly up these days......

anyways, Dutch site formule1.nl reports Force India switching to Ferrari while Torro Rosso will switch to Renault.
That would also mean that Renault will ditch one of their current 4 teams as they already said they werent planning on taking on a 5th team if Cosworth would quit.

Personally I can see them ditch either Lotus or Williams. And with the Williams-Renault link has historic value I expect Lotus pulling the short straw...
Caterham is save with their recent roadcar link up. Red Bull provides regular wins so unless they opt for another engine Renault wont' ditch them.....

That would be a rather dumb move on Renault part. Given the performance of Lotus vs. Williams. This isn't the same Williams from the 90s.

Lotus is a strange team right now. No connection to Lotus Cars, Genii not really willing to pay the bills anymore. While HRT is officially up for sale, no-one would be surprised to see Lotus being sold yet again as well.

Williams seems the saver bet right now.

Even if Lotus F1 were to be sold in the coming weeks or months. I would rather take chance with a team that has scored 15 podiums in past 3 seasons. Then Williams who've only scored 12 in past 9 seasons.

Kubica confirms he can't drive single seaters anymore due to limitations in mobility.

Anyone remember F3000 driver, Jose Maria Lopez claiming he got a seat in the USF1 team?

I only remember it because RtN was calling him "J-Lo" :p

Red Bull always wanted to have Mercedes, now that FI is out of it....... just a guess

Kubica confirms he can't drive single seaters anymore "for the moment"(his literal words) due to limitations in mobility.

fixed just to be pedant as I'm not implying he will or not ever be able to drive in single seater again

By the time the "moment" is over he'll be far too old for any team to risk taking him on so it's pretty much the same thing.

Unless a huge Polish corporation buys into a team and insists on running him or something...

I fear this "moment" will never be over for him, as things looks. I say this very sadly as I'm a big fan of him.

Ferrari will give him a run if he ever reaches that point. Doesn't matter how old he is, they'll give him a three year old car and an afternoon at Fiorano. Just to see.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

As they did with Nannini, I forget the year.

nice and very informative. Lot's of subjects covered and nobody is annoying in there. They just made fun of Scot Nicholson way too much but I guess that's why happens to newbies :p

That's a great find. I wonder how long that page took to load in 1995.

If you click the Netscape 1.1 link, that hasn't been updated since 1994.

I'm tempted to send them a "message from the future" on their feedback page. :p
