Daytona needs a FIA 1 rating tbh, F1 race would own there.

...as a precussor to being the only driver in modern F1 to be outside the 107% quali limit at every race in 2013?

I was going to post exactly the same. We are some hours from the first FP and yet no thread.

It's just that there's no point, no matter the series. Layouts are usually just one of the oval's straights connecting to a boring flat karting track inside.

Daytona is kinda cool because they use all of turns 3-4 plus the trioval if I'm not mistaken, but that's never going to happen in F1! (Or major openwheelers for that matter)

Sergio Perez could withdraw from Indian GP due to flu, Gutierrez would make his GP debut so.

Then kick the US and Brasilian GP to the first two. Kick the Australian to the last spot and the calendar seems somewhat correct again IMHO

Australia last? It should always be first!

Haynes sent me this book to review, and here are my thoughts...

Adelaide being the last Grand Prix of the season felt special and seemed to suit the city. Melbourne has a whole different feel and atmosphere.

Maybe the threadstarter has had an accident and is in a korma. Anyway, with practice just hours away, don't want to Dehli-dally.

Melbourne wasn't the last race because of the Melbourne Cup and the Spring Carnival

no need for discussion on this subject. Let Melbourne open the season and Adelaide finish it.
