I think F1SA.com and F1zone.net are good. Avoid Crash.net like the plague.

I hope this isn't true, Shark fin for 2013, wtf? If people don't know who is driving which car then, that's their problem.

Please, no.

If you ignore the ugly broken noses, the cars this year look pretty sweet (look at the Mclarens) with smooth lines unfettered by the ugly aerodynamic flicks and steps that blighted the 2000s.

I'm hoping that the noses will be phased out by 2013 (Mclaren seem the form team atm and its great that they're winning without the ugly noses from a design point of view because that might convince the aero guys to copy them for next year and the FIA don't need to mandate anything)

And even with the ugly noses, Ferrari have worked out a good way to identify the drivers putting the numbers on there...an ugly shark fin is NOT needed so please don't do this FIA.

J. Allen still seems to believe Hamilton will choose for a switch to Mercedes.

Yes because wins and the occasional retirement really are bettered by not making Q3 and fighting for 8th, good plan that, James.

According to F1sa.com and also Martin Brundle, in the next couple of days McLaren will finalize a contract with Hamilton and Mercedea with Schumi for 2013.

I've been impressed with Pic this year so was hoping he'd be in a Sauber next year.

Pic seems nice. Wish I'd spoken to him at Silverstone.

What is the reason Glock and Pic are not talking anymore against each other?

Pic blocked Glock in qualifying in Hungary and then Pic put him on the grass at Kemmel in Spa.

well I think it was someone here who mentioned it, and I heard Olav Mol kinda confirm it. Hamilton's manager is more like a football player's manager.
Not thinking about the career of his client but about making big money on the next deal. So If McLaren offers 12m and Mercedes 25m and he get's 10% you don't need to be a rocket scientist to know where Hamilton is driving for next season.
Even most inbreed rednecks would know that one....

And yet Schumacher went to Ferrari for 1996

If Hamilton moves to Mercedes because he wants to build something great, I'd be behind him, though I don't know if drivers can really do that to teams any more, better drivers just attract better people. If he goes there because Mercedes are willing to pay him more then I couldn't care less if he rots about in the midfield.

What if he's doing it for his personal happiness?

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

The reasons he is unhappy with Mclaren at the moment (strict regulation on his off-track activities as well as his on track behavior, lack of freedom of expression, lack of personality in the team) aren't exactly going to be cured by moving to Mercedes, of all teams.
If anything, they'll be stricter.

If the rumours had been about him moving to Red Bull or Lotus or a team that doesn't mind letting its hair down occasionally, then they might have been more believable

If the issue is with his belief about the team supposedly favouring Button over him, how is going to a German team with a well entrenched and popular German driver going to help that?

That's what's baffling about this rumour. He may well be disgruntled at Mclaren, but it's not like Mercedes are going to be a breath of fresh air for him is it?
The only reason his management picked Mercedes is it was the only believable top team, contract wise, that they thought might have an open seat to use as leverage against Mclaren.

If Lewis really wanted to play the "building up a team from withing, MS/Ferrari style" he'd pick Williams.
They respect drivers if they give it their all on track, aren't overly strict, are always fair with regards to their two drivers, have shown potential this year with one win and it wouldn't be hard to at least outperform whichever driver ended up being his team-mate, be it Maldanado, Senna or even Bottas.
