Surely making Alonso a unicorn is wrong as he isn't fighting the Red Bulls this season.

I often wonder what goes through people's heads when they decide it's a good idea to draw and make public these images. But then I wonder what goes through people's heads when they decide it's a good idea to post these images to a forum.

Back to more serious matters and the Mistral straight. It is 1.8km long, within what I believe is the FIA regulation limit of 2km. The length of the straight in China is 1.2km, though the flat-out run from La Source must be longer, so as long as there's not going to be any repeats of 1982 when Jochen Mass tried to kill an entire grandstand at Signes, I think it would be "different".

You could say that you have to wonder what goes through people's heads when they leave negative comments about said posts and images ;)

Bronies? Oh god no....this feels like when I was about 2 years late to the whole Furry shit craze/hatin' and had no idea what was being referenced.

If this is a....thing....you know what, I don't WANT to know :(

Now I'm going to go back and quote a pic from the previous page, brace yourselves!

Don't really see why, they have tossing massive straights at China, Abu Dhabi, all the other Tilke tracks ... and this layout (taxed from Wikipedia) can't feature a straight any longer than those ...

I think in the "good old days" (or "day's happening right now if you're a sportscar fan ;) ) the layout in question doesn't have that kink in the middle of the mistral straight, just a really long straight from turn 4 until signes, which is a really scary corner if you're on full throttle for about ten minutes before it! :p

Also, lol tossing massive straight, gonna have to use that again ;)

Just get Franck Montagny back for that race, he'll just pretend the chicane isn't there.

FIA Institute tested a forward roll hoop design built by Lotus, because you can't have a story anymore without Lotus being involved somehow.

There is no way they will run the full straight. FIA has rules dictating how tight a corner should be based on the length of the straight. That is why Tilke has to put hairpins at Hockenheim, India and China.

From where I am sitting Signes looks way too fast to use the full straight. I quite like the look of the circuit posted above. Be interesting to see how it races.

Hope Mr Netherlands, the future president of France, really ditch this deal with Bernie. CVC should charge less from countries like Belgium and keep Spa on the calendar, then charge even more from rich Sheiks to make up for it.

As i can see, it will be no French GP AND no Belgian GP. add this with Spanish and German problem, and you must prepare yourself for the death of F1 in Europe. :flag:

I think if F1 leaves Europe, a new championship will be born that will take over F1

I don't know if it belongs to this thread, but I haven't found any thread where I could put this, but I really feel I must write this, so here it is...

"Er lebte für seinen Traum"

Roland Ratzenberger, its been 18 years already. He was an example as people and as a driver, he followed his dream, he fought for it, he never gave up. He drove in so many different series, he drove so many different cars, he really lived for his dream. It's just sad that someone who had a true passion, a true love for the most beautiful sport in the world, had to go so early, and just when he got to the series he desired so much. He came to F1 at the wrong door, but at least he came, he could taste how it feels, he could live at least 3 racing weekends of the pinnacle of his dream. He has made friends in the sport that will never forget him, and he left to us that feeling of "what could have been". Actually it really doesn't matter now. Roland would not like to see anyone wondering such things, he lived for today, and never for tomorrow, I wish he could be still with us, but if he had to go, I'm sure, somewhere, someway, he's looking and he's happy to have done such a good job in Earth. Stay allways in peace, I miss you Roland!
