people tend to forget on 1 April that a joke must be believable and subtle.

These news of F1 not finding a deal for a French Grand Prix sounds really bizarre to me.

Actually, all these years away of France is nearly unbelievable. A country where basically the european motorsport began....

F1 not going to countries like England, France, Germany or Italy is a real absurd. I could tolerate the removal of any GP (with the exception of the Brazilian GP for obvious reasons) but to remove a GP from important european countries where actually all the story began is something beyond bizarre, it's...it's....look, it's so bad that I don't even have adjectives to describe.

Like I always say, in order to avoid oddities, some GPs should be mandatory on the schedule. That's why I hate so much Bernie, everybody clamining about horrible GPs in Middle East and Asia (you don't need to go that far - some days ago on TV - Jeremy Clarkson telling on Top Gear that Abu Dhabi's GP "was catastrophically boring"....I don't get it, why Bernie still insisting with unpopular ideas? Market only? I don't eat that.

If someone found a cure for cancer, would that allow him to rape little children?

That is a truly awful comparison.

I think the authors of these April Fools jokes have either lost the plot or simply don't understand the concept, the only one that's even remotely amusing is the Kimi one, and even really that could be totally legitimate on any other day of the year.

The Hulk & Hamilton ones are just stupid.

Best one I saw was a story Autosport ran a few years back where they said Heathrow had been granted a license to run races around the ring roads & runways, literally the only thing that gave that away was when they mentioned that when a plane needed to land, they'd send the safety car out.

April Fools is about sticking the receiver button down on the phone or putting salt in the sugar pot, not this rubbish.

Yeaa it's got to be believable and they're not any more.

Saying Hamilton was signing for Mercedes would be way more believable.

Yeah, or they could have recycled the Heathrow story, it was like 20 years ago so nobody would remember it.

James Allen is quoting the German media in reporting a belief amongst the teams that the Bahrain GP will be cancelled during the Chinese GP weekend, as tensions flare within the country again.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Shame we can't just fuck Bahrain and go to Istanbul Park instead.

Still, at least they'll be an atmosphere at Manama this year

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Sauber would be in favour of a budget cap

So apparently Karun Chandhok is now eligible to be a monegasque firefighter.
