'Good' news! More violence in Bahrain!

Does that mean we will be visiting Turkey in 2012 afterall? (and that Bahrain will be banned from the calendar forever?!!)

I know its a bit offtopic but here it is the final standings if the championship has run the 10-6-4-3-2-1 system...

Drivers Championship

01 - Vettel 147 pts
02 - Button 83 pts
03 - Alonso 73 pts
04 - Webber 72 pts
05 - Hamilton 68 pts
06 - Massa 17 pts
07 - Schumacher 11 pts
08 - Rosberg 08 pts
09 - Petrov 06 pts
10 - Heidfeld 04 pts
11 - Kobayashi 02 pts
12 - Sutil 02 pts
13 - Di Resta 01 pt

Constructors Championship

01 - Red Bull 219 pts
02 - McLaren 151 pts
03 - Ferrari 90 pts
04 - Mercedes 19 pts
05 - Renault 10 pts
06 - Force India 03 pts
07 - Sauber 02 pts

That show how NOT competitive this season was, only 13 drivers would score a point, and only 7 teams, and the points distribution has a huge gap from Ferrari and Mercedes, and we can see there how bad Massa's season was, how far away from Alonso and the other drivers from the Top 3 teams he was during all the season, the only driver from Ferrari, Red Bull and McLaren who didn't got a podium. Even Renault has scored podiums with Heidfeld and Petrov and Massa didn't.

Interesting that Schumacher would have out-scored Rosberg ...

In the past the cars were not so reliable as the last years. If you look in the past the gap between the top 3 teams and the other teams were much bigger than last years.

It's useless doing any proper comparisons. 10 years ago, McLaren's engines expired every twelve minutes and, except for Ferrari, retiring from several races a year wasn't unusual. In 2011, Vettel/Webber/Alonso retired once, Button twice and Hamilton three times. Out of the top 6 drivers, they retired 5 times between them through non-accident issues - Vettel (Abu Dhabi), Button (Silverstone, Nurby), Hamilton (Brazil), Massa (Spain).

I'm sure I read somewhere, probably Autosport I guess that in 1990, about 50% of finishers in each race scored points. Today that percentage remains the same.

Everyone's favourite Octogenarian has once assured the F1 world that Bahrain is on.

A German unreliable magazine saying that the Mercedes car, which has not yet run or shown himself, and is by coincidence a German car, will shock the world?

I believe them!

The sources for most things are named though, which makes it a bit more credible.
