Just turned in right to the last restart and I agree, that cutting is ridiculous. I hope NASCAR disallows the drivers to cut the track tomorrow.

Not so sure about that... All cars were coming to the turn "normaly" and at the same speed. Maybe Leffler didn't expect Sadler to come back right in front of him but...well .. not really sure about what happened here , just a big mess and heartbreak for Sadler :-/

Yes, they just need to cut a strip of the asphalt a couple foot wide out of the track like the warmup lanes are laid out at Indy, and end it at the dogleg apex so they can blend after it, it'll probably stop that corner cutting crap.

Can you imagine the laugh ability of it if all 43 cars started driving that line tomorrow? It's clearly faster :loL

That was in no way a product of him cutting the dogleg, Leffler just flat out dumped him.

Not so sure about what? About me liking what I saw because I don't like to see the cars cutting the corner?

I'm pretty sure.

I don't see any way this was Elliott Sadler's fault. Leffler got loose in turn 2 and he and Almirola went up the track, and the bottom was side open? Who would pass up that opportunity for two positions that late in the race? I think Sadler was being very courteous to Leffler and Almirola and gave them a lot of room. Sadler had to lift early in order to make the corner and Leffler basically said that he didn't anticipate that. Leffler took full blame for the wreck, which not every driver would have done.

These tires have a hell of a life in them. On an old set, Hornish is running times that would have put him in the top ten on the grid.

I wouldn't mind seeing Hornish win this.

Yeah, I'd like to see him get it done too.

By the way, we could be in for an evening/night race tomorrow. The forecast calls for a 50% chance of rain for most of the day but it seems to clear up late in the afternoon and and on into the evening.

This. I just think it's more Leffler's fault than Sadler cutting the doogleg. Just my opinion.
